I have a question that complicates things.

What if you voted for someone that you weren't sure was responsible or not, but did it with the intent of saving someone else who got voted for, who you knew was an incorrect vote?

Hmm. Well, seeing as how, regardless of the intention, it resulted in a vote for someone who you genuinely believed was not guilty, I'd say the drink applies here, yes.
