[ And then the act is completely dropped.] It started off like that, anyway.

Not very good at possession, were they? Or at the least, deeply unaccustomed to human culture and etiquette.

They're as varied as people are. Would you ask "what are humans like" and expect a simple, coherent answer?

Well, it sounds like your one ghost has been rather isolated and was likely rather gregarious to begin with. Many do tend to be, and many are often fixated on specific themes--school lunches, technology, law enforcement, boxes...

But they can otherwise be very human in personality indeed--that is, after all, what they used to be.

...there are, of course, more mindless and animalistic ghosts as well, though.
