That's one way to put it. [ He is so exhausted, and yet. ]

Right. We were tracking down a don to prevent a deal between two very violent criminal organizations to spread more drugs throughout the streets, and it turned out one of them had a blood breed in his employ.

I was the only person present who could deal with one of them, so we fought... and when I finally took its head off, it turned out to be a robot controlled long-distance by a blood breed, while my coworker was dealing with the real body.

Horrifying, really, since I really thought I was going to die and it wasn't even a vampire proper.

[This is so much and, because it's emotion share week Steven gets some muted worried vibes. Because he does think Steven can handle himself, it's just a whole lot to listen to all at once.]

I'm glad you're alright after having to deal with that.

Can all vampires where your from do that? Or was it just that one specific vampire with a robot?

[ ???? Why are you worried???? This is just honestly Steven's normal day to day life. ]

Not sure if all of them, but they do have a varying range of abilities, including possession to a degree that we've seen from some. They were strong, though, for controlling a robotic body. A real blood breed has more power in the flesh, so it's harrowing to think of how strong they actually could've been.

Did your coworker manage to deal with the other one okay?

How many... blood breeds [he is assuming this is the same thing as "vampire"] have you run into at home?

She actually had insisted on not coming, initially, because she wanted to be there on Parents' Day for her son. Which is sweet and all, but you know, when there's a drug deal going on that could ruin the lives of hundreds or thousands of people on the line.

[ Steven has never been a parent. ]

Anyway, it turned out that the blood breed in question actually happened to be at the school building she was at. Everything was fine on her end, but... again, harrowing.

And as for "how many" -- enough. Really. Of the lesser variety, anyway. Elders I can count on my hands, and I'd like to keep it that way.

[Omi has been something like a parent, so he can kind of understand the coworker here. At the same time, there's also a sense of like... drug deal bad? Could possibly affect children? Should probably deal with drug deal?]

Well, it's not every day that I deal with a blood breed.

But the rest of it aside from that, yeah.
