So it's actually a sort of vampire magic? Well, that's not fair. Vampires can't use human magic.

An offshoot of it... though ours has an elemental mix to it for the most part. Theirs are usually just the blood, but vampiric venom as it is is toxic to human bodies and would turn us into thralls. [ Hahahaha. ]

It's not just anyone who can use these abilities though. Hence why there's not many of us Jagtkreuz.

[ He did ask her about thralldom before he let her, in all fairness. But yeah, he had every right to be reserved, every right to be wary... but that's Despair indulgence for you! At least it brought them closer so all's well that ends well. ]

"Jagtkreuz", or Fang Hunters, is the name of the organization I was in, and am now affiliated with. It's the Jagtkreuz that mainly deals with Blood Breeds, hence why I say I'm kind of a vampire hunter but it's not my current main occupation.

So what do you do at your main occupation?

I work as the subcommander for a secret organization whose role is to maintain balance in the city I live in. Which, the short summary of it is, "we keep the place from collapsing in on itself every day".

I wish it was just blood breeds... at least then, I'd have breathing room and more time to prepare specifically for just that one threat, probably.

Yeah, that's what we call anything whose origins are from the Beyond. It's easier to think of it as "anything non-human", or not from the human world... so by our standards, you'd be considered one as well, for example.
