[ALLERGIC TO FEELINGS: Noted. Childe, for his part, simply isn't the type to share information about his past hardships, especially if it's of no benefit to him to do so. His time in the Abyss is irrelevant to anyone but himself.
So he nods, moving aside to take a seat at the table.]
[ law will follow childe and take a seat opposite from where he sits at the table. he doesn't make himself "at home" but does sit comfortably enough in the chair.
he remembers how their conversation last went and, well, clearly this meant that childe had some ideas and names. or that's the assumption he's going to be working off of. ]
Right, so? What was it that you wanted to talk about?
[ since, well, clearly he wanted to tell him something about what was coming up. clearly?? ]
[ I MISREMEMBERED. don't worry i have names regardless sweats. that moment when you've been looking at people to cull for a while and things just happen BUT— ]
It didn't change my opinions about the robot so much. But the question of who that "someone" who ordered him to kill is the question, right? Is it someone among the rest of us or is it someone who stands separate from the rest of us?
[ that seemed to be the question that had been floating around. ]
The noise that we've been hearing is something that hasn't been heard by any of the other Avatars either. [ he crosses his arms and leans back in the chair. ] Is it all related or separate? We're here to indulge but looks like we might have to fight for our lives as well.
[As Law speaks, Childe just listens quietly, leaning his head against his hand. His face is blank, but his eyes are sharp, focused.
When Law's finished, he just nods, sharply.]
That lines up with what I've gathered. [So they're on the same page, which makes this a lot easier.] That "list" he spoke of--if he started with Tamaki, I'm guessing he was working his way up, regarding combat ability.
[Assuming HK was even telling the truth to begin with. But paranoia can only go so far before it leads to nothing but thought spirals, so. He'll work off the assumption that the robot wasn't lying, for now.]
It makes me wonder if someone will choose--or be chosen--to step in as a replacement.
[ it is good that they're on the same page even if the same page is information that is kind of ??? at this point. but honestly law hadn't thought too much about the list since each person has their own personal list.
the last point that childe makes, however, does get law thinking a bit more. ]
Replacement as a weapon? [ now that it's been said out loud, it seems like an obvious thing to happen but— ] If that does happen then that definitely means something else is at play outside of the avatars.
Mm. They've been rather insistent that that's not the case, but it's difficult for me to accept that.
[He just shrugs, turning his eyes very pointedly towards the ceiling. The Avatars know he feels this way already, so he has no reason to keep it a secret.]
Of course, it could simply be someone here who decided to take advantage of an object designed for killing. If that's the case, they might have a harder time with a human.
[.......Maybe. There are some pretty shady butts in this game honestly who knows.]

That's perfectly fine with me.

What did you make of all that, yesterday?
[The execution, and the reveal that HK-47 happily killed Tamaki under orders.]
