[Childe is always doing more fighty, honestly. Today he's practicing with the bow again--mostly because it's nice to have his grip strength back with his dos hands, after last time. He glances over as Law enters, firing one last arrow before he returns the bow to his back.]
That took a while, didn't it? [The execution, he means. God. Both of them were exhausting.]
[ real questions, is he throwing the arrow or not....... childe. your auto-attack??? not that law cares as he's actually kind of glad to know that childe is in good working order again. ]
I didn't bother showing up.
[ law, your emotions. he'll stand to the side with his arms crossed. ] But it sounded like it was taking a while for all of you.
[ there was a monologe of sorts? people needing therapy (whatever that is). ]
[ if only law had the same appetite for chaos... though to make things rather brief and blunt he's just going to say this. the room is enclosed so it should be fine. nods. ]
I'm planning on making my move next week before people start piecing things together. I would ideally like to go after the person who is responsible for Steven's death but they might already be dead.
[But--ah. Well, it's not like he didn't know this was coming--he glances back towards the entrance, then moves over to the panel in the center of the room, placing his hand on it. When the simulation changes, they're on a beach, the sound of artificial waves loud enough to cover up a quiet conversation.]
[ the beach.... well as long as they're not in the ocean itself law will be fine. ...though for laughs someone should try this again and force law to the beach ep and watch him die :') ]
I think it was Vlad but I've heard talk that it might have been Douman.
[ completely indifferent about either one of them. though, maybe there's a hint of displeasure towards a certain somebody over another..? now if it's vlad or douman who knows!!! ]
If it was Vlad then it would leave me with no one.
[LOOK Law can change it if he wants!! But yes, for now, the beach. It's not one he's ever seen before--there are starconches in the sand, and towering stones protruding from the water in the distance.
He notes that displeasure, though he doesn't comment on it.]
Mm, I was thinking Douman as well. It's not an unpopular theory, given that he came in second place for the votes.
[ he's a pirate??? he likes the ocean??? but starconch.....cute. i'm tragically sad that law wouldn't investigate it because it's cute. ]
He did, but I wonder if it's a little of what with happened to Fukuda and that it was a result of Douman's more ruthless side.
[ because law can't be the only one who sees it right? that...edge about the clown that's just slightly unsettled. again, though, if this happens then they really are just killing people who are potential murderers instead of actual murderers. ]
[LAW NO. Sad. A crab pinches his toe--no I'm kidding.]
That was definitely part of it, I'm sure. But Steven was an experienced fighter, wasn't he? So I doubt it was Omi. [It could've been Vlad, sure, he's not discounting that.] And some of the evidence pointed towards them, if I recall. Of course, it's just a theory--I doubt they'd confess either way.
[ don't tempt me. i'll have a crab ruin this.... ]
I received a memory of Steven back in his world fighting, so yes, he was quite the adept fighter. [ he didn't to see steven make use of his ice powers but it's fine. he saw Enough. ] However, we all have had our abilities and powers taken from us.
[ childe your water and law your bullshit one piece powers. ]
Maybe Omi is secretly capable of cruelty that we just don't know about. [ you know like childe holding out for aoi to be this mass murderer. ] Or maybe something possessed him. Still, Douman seems likely.
[That's a fair enough point, and Childe tips his head to acknowledge it.]
In the motherland, they say "in calm waters, monsters dwell". [So he's absolutely not discounting that Omi could be capable of murder.] If it's between the two of them, though, you'd have to cover your tracks better with Omi. [A pause, as he thinks about the last two trials.] ...Maybe.
[ the fact that this is between a dlif and a clown is kind of funny but we won't go there. instead law will also agree. ]
Maybe.
[ even if they have been terrible at solving murders, there are times where things seem super close about figuring things out and it just becomes a matter of who to vote for. given all of the co-conspiring they have been doing, law figures this would be best to make clear into the air between them. ]
...would you help cover for me?
[ or, you know, help him out with an item or two. he doesn't know what you got, if anything, from your cyoa. ]
["Maybe" indeed. Especially since a day from now their friendly neighborhood cops will actually try to get organized, so--Law's right, now's the time to move.
But that's not about to stop Childe, who nods easily, like it's hardly a question.]
Sure, of course. [Within reason, he figures, is clear enough without being said. He crosses his arms, tapping his elbow as he thinks.] Let me know who you choose, alright? I'll see what I can do.
[Childe is both an asshole and also not stupid enough to get attached to anyone in a murdergame, so even though he likes both Omi and Douman well enough, he's fine with this. He'll likely be making a move soon as well.
As for items and gifts, he mulls that over in his head.]
The one from that little adventure we had the other day might be too obvious, but I might be able to time it well. I'll speak with Lust, too, and see if there's anything they can give me to assist you. [The answer might be no, but he'll try.] Did you have a weapon in mind?
[ law will just nod his head at childe suggesting to speaking to lust for an item to help him somehow. that'd be greatly appreciated but law won't expect much. ]
I have a weapon of my own but I'll think about using something from one of the rooms.
[ because using his sword would really narrow down the number of culprits. ...never mind a shovel was used and they overlooked that. ]
I haven't quite planned it through yet but there are a few things that would generic enough that shouldn't paint such a huge target on me. [ hmm. ] Actually, there's quite a bit that I need to think about before I decide to go on with this. No room to be sloppy or at least not purposefully sloppy.

Did you all learn anything interesting?

He shakes his head.]
Not at all. Endorsi left. [She's valid.]
no subject
Good for her. [ she is really valid, though that begs the question?? ] Why did you stay for the whole thing?

I will, though it might just be a toss up between Omi and Douman.
[ though he personally wants to leave on one more than the other but it's fine? a stab is a stab in the end... ]
And if you'd spare an items or "gifts" you've received, I'd appreciate any; know that whatever you help me with, I'll help with you.
[ so, you know, if law survives and childe wants to go in for a stab? he'll totally help childe out. ]

[And he figures Law isn't going to want to ditch his sword, not that there's a good way to destroy it anyway.
But he nods.]
Think it through. Come find me when you're ready, alright?
