Ah...well, sort of. Onmyoudo is a form of magic involving the five elements, and yin and yang...I did things such as exorcise evil spirits, fight monsters, predict fortunes...and so on.
Right, I remember loosely. It wouldn't be called onmyoudo in the west, but there's similar concepts, whether also religious or otherwise. [ Nods. ] Very much in the realm of supernatural.
Human belief in the supernatural has waned, that's true. Largely to the increasing distress of mankind and obsession with learning and controlling more about their world. In effect, it's a demystification of the unknown that kills gods and the fantastic.
Though I guess it's arguable whether that means the supernatural die off to it, or if it means they're just waiting in hiding until they can rise again.
