hmm. as the memory plays out it certainly isn't that surprising to him in what he experiences. rather, in the life that childe has lived. the brutality of being pushed so far at such a young age. it feels familiar. the abuse; the training... they're memories that combine with his own. memories that childe can witness for himself while law relives a version of his own personal molding.
a child of 14 and a child of 10... both being shaped into becoming something far the normal image of youths their age. however, the difference seems a bit more to law that the spare sprinkling of warmth he received from his teachers was not equally shared with the training childe experienced.

It didn't change my opinions about the robot so much. But the question of who that "someone" who ordered him to kill is the question, right? Is it someone among the rest of us or is it someone who stands separate from the rest of us?

The noise that we've been hearing is something that hasn't been heard by any of the other Avatars either. [ he crosses his arms and leans back in the chair. ] Is it all related or separate? We're here to indulge but looks like we might have to fight for our lives as well.
[As Law speaks, Childe just listens quietly, leaning his head against his hand. His face is blank, but his eyes are sharp, focused.
When Law's finished, he just nods, sharply.]
That lines up with what I've gathered. [So they're on the same page, which makes this a lot easier.] That "list" he spoke of--if he started with Tamaki, I'm guessing he was working his way up, regarding combat ability.
[Assuming HK was even telling the truth to begin with. But paranoia can only go so far before it leads to nothing but thought spirals, so. He'll work off the assumption that the robot wasn't lying, for now.]
It makes me wonder if someone will choose--or be chosen--to step in as a replacement.
[ it is good that they're on the same page even if the same page is information that is kind of ??? at this point. but honestly law hadn't thought too much about the list since each person has their own personal list.

Of course, it could simply be someone here who decided to take advantage of an object designed for killing. If that's the case, they might have a harder time with a human.
